If you're like us, you've been spending a lot of time on Zoom lately. That means awkwardly turning your messy room into a makeshift performance space. Make remote performing more fun, with MyStage backgrounds from Broadway Media.
There is a great feature in apps for virtual readings that allows you to have a MyStage Virtual Background. You can swap out your background for a virtual theatrical backdrop. In most cases, you’ll need to have a green screen behind you (or a blue screen), though Zoom will work without one. The tool will swap out the green pixels for the virtual background. With a low financial barrier to entry, simple implementation, and the introduction of great “Online Editions” from many prominent licensors. Performing via the web from actors’ respective homes requires a much more simple set up. It’s a great way to engage your audiences without having access to a physical space.
While built-in laptop, tablet and smartphone cameras are a good starting point, it comes with significant quality limitations. We’ve partnered with Zoom and StreamYard (the two systems we recommend) to provide affordable hardware to capture crisp, clear video and audio.
